This class is about having fun and making connections through ballet. No pressure at all! Bring a friend, and enjoy yourself while getting an amazing workout!

Refine your technique, improve your posture, gain flexibility, and enjoy the art of ballet in a welcoming, supportive environment. 

Perfect for complete beginners and adults who want to return to dance by starting from the very beginning.

Class Details:

🩰 Your Instructor – Selena Makell

The instructor, Selena Makell, primarily studied the Vaganova technique of ballet for 8 years. She had the pleasure of training at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in their Preparatory Program, The OH Ballet Arts Academy, The Washington Ballet School and many summer intensives such as the Joffrey Ballet School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Akhmedova Ballet Academy. 

While attending Hampton University she danced for Ebony Fire, the HBCU majorette dance team for all 4 years. She was the captain for 2 years and in a leadership position for 3. While on the team, Selena had performed at the 2020 New Year's Day Parade in Rome, Italy, the 2020 Honda Battle of the Bands, the 2021 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Michael B Jordan's Legacy Classic in 2022. She also had the opportunity to represent the team and was featured in Essence Magazine her sophomore year. Read Here
